We would like to thank all of those who came to help make gift bags for the children at Loma Linda Children's Hospital last Thursday night!! It was a huge success and we had so many bags made to give to the children. You really put a smile on a child's face!!

There will be NO General Meeting this week on Thursday October 28th.

Announcements!

Thank you to all who came out for the meeting last night! It was great meeting all of the new members and we are anxious to get this year going! We think this year will be fun and exciting for everyone!

Just a couple of reminders:

Thursday OCTOBER 21st in SPROUL 2343 at 7:10pm
We will be making gift bags for the children at the community hospital. Bring all your crafts and materials, also some will be provided, to make a gift bag that a child will love!

Our next fundraiser will be at SUB STATION on OCTOBER 27th from 4-8pm
A flyer will be e-mailed to you, so remember to print it out, sign your name, bring it with you, and tell them that you are part of FIMRC. Bring your friends!!

It seems that many of you are interested in the mission trip. Andrew Vu is the coordinator of those trips so if you have any questions, email him at avu008@ucr.edu. He should be holding an information meeting soon regarding all the aspects of the trip. These trips are only possible if we can raise enough funds for all the people who want to go. It is a group effort and at FIMRC we are always helpful to others! Remember that they are short volunteers at all the clinics so the next possible mission trip would be from December 12-19th, which is after finals. It's a good way to start your winter vacation!

"Project Smiles" is still going on. Bring any NEW toothbrushes to the next meeting, fundraiser or community service event. We will be sending those to the various clinics overseas.

Thanks again for wanting to be a part of an important cause and we are looking forward to a great year!

UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES!!

The social at Shakey's was a HUGE success!!! Thank you to all who came out to support FIMRC which aims to help gain medical and health attention to children both globally and locally in the community. It was a pleasure getting to talk to each and every one of you, and listening to why you are interested in being a part of FIMRC this year. Many of you talked to other members and our officers, asked questions about FIMRC and of course ate yummy food. We hope to see all of you over the next year at our socials, fundraisers and community service events!

Many of you seemed to be interested in the mission trips that are available. Yes, we are the club that offers the opportunity to visit various missions, learn about their community service in the local environments and how they help aid others who are less fortunate. These trips can become a reality, but it is with your help to put in enough support and money that it is possible.

Our FIRST GENERAL MEETING is coming up!!!!

THURSDAY OCTOBER 14th

7-8:30 pm

SPROUL 2343

We hope to see all of you there at the first meeting of the quarter. We will discuss more about FIMRC and how we as a club can help the community in medical and health aid. Talk to the officers, meet new people and ultimately make a difference in the world.

!!!!!!!SEE YOU THERE!!!!!!!!
